Overcoming obstacles and setbacks that present themselves along the path in the journey to becoming who I am meant to be, have brought valuable lessons and opportunities to learn,  grow and  expand my development in all areas of my life. 

When I am stressed out or upset because something didn't go my way or didn't turn out like I expected, I can view it as problem or view it as a growth opportunity. 

I can also take the "victim stance" or "be responsible" for the role that I played in how the situation arose and  the outcome of each event. I will say that it took me a long time to learn and be able to distinguish and accept my responsibility. 

When operating in problem mode,  I become "The Victim" . I am powerless and can find blame and fault in everyone and everything around me and life tends to be miserable. It's so much easier to point the finger over there, take the blame off of me and make others be the villain. 

 When operating in growth opportunity mode, I become "The Victor".  I can be responsible, and have control not only over the situation but over Me, my thoughts and the outcome. I am no longer in reaction mode, now I am  in creation mode.

 And with this new power, I get to say how my Time, Energy and Life Will Go! 

Next time, you feel like you've got a problem on your hands, take a moment to evaluate if you are being the victim or being responsible. Take your power back, turn it into a growth opportunity and create the outcome you wish to have.
